Controversial Kamba gospel musician Stephen Kasolo has opened up on facing death threats from his own grandmother when he was still a young boy.
Stephen Kasolo who spoke to Mungai Even stated that his mother died when he was a young boy and was left with the grandmother. According to him, death threats were normal when he was growing up.
Kasolo admitted that on several occasions, the grandmother could threaten to end his life. As a result, he took those words as not only normal but as a way of raising a child. Specifically, the grandmother tied him outside the house until morning after he made a mistake.
“Me nimelelewa ushago na shosho na alikuwa ananiambia nikuue? Ata sazingine nishai fungwa nje kwa sababu nimekosa, nikafungwa kwa mti mpaka asubuhi kwa sababu nimekosa because mama yangu alikufa nikiwa mtoto mdogo.” Said Kasolo in response to Mungai Eve.
Asked whether he was trying to justify his deed, Kasolo acknowledged that he made a mistake and that he was very sorry not only to the kid but also to the entire world.
He further revealed that he spoke out of anxiety and that he never really meant his words, reiterating that the world had actually changed since sometimes back the words “nitakuchapa nikuue” were very normal in the families.
To further demonstrate how sorry he was, Kasolo literally broke down in tears as he begged the world to forgive him since whatever happened was not his liking.
In the meantime, Kenyans were on Monday made furious by the viral video of Kasolo threatening his young daughter for breaking a water bottle.
Stephen Kasolo was so mad at his child that he decided to threaten the young soul with death threats. Infact, the kamba gospel musician literally moved his hands closer to the neck of the girl while demonstrating how he would strangle her to death.
On their side, Kenyans had the following to say after confessing about the grandmother:
“Wacheni ufala wakenya ,you know how you even beat your children, that was just a dad dota scene, nyinyi vile mtu alikuwa anaambiwa atauawa mliuawa, my mom raised us so good he threatened even to slaughter us even at the slightest mistake. She is proud of us now. Stop crucifying this man. Nonsense.”
“Also y’all need to watch a YouTube channel called Observe. His body language is leaking with deceit and acting. And that is sad, what he does is between him and God….but that child is the one we should truly worry about. The non-parents and Stans of this artist, sit in a corner over there. Thanks.”
“Mtoto sio wa wakenya pekeee.. the whole world is watching and your words can be translated! In some other parts of the world, you would loose your custody, mtoto achukuliwe! Because this is just what you posted, so, what happens behind the camera in a dialy life!?! Anyway, kila mtu na malezi yake! Peace!”
“Aki Kenyans can bash you even for nothing, have you guys forgotten the beating from our parents, almost to death. Huyu hata it was just a mere words our parents would actually attempt to. How did it affect us that now we are grown up, actually it made us better humans and we now loves our parents more than anything. Am very sure kasolo didn’t mean those words at all lakini Kenyans wanakuanga wanangoja mtu wa kutoa depression zao.”
“The truth, from the girl’s reaction, is that this is something that you have probably done severally. Otherwise why was she so scared? Why was so scared of ‘nikunyonge’ kama hajexperience kunywongwa before?”
“He might apologize to the girl yes but the mental damage he did is irreversible… is she even safe in daddy’s hands.?”
“Everything was going well until he started crying..now that’s acting. In the video the kid was crying scared and shaken while he was laughing.”
“It’s not an excuse to threaten your little girl because you went through the same that’s not hiw to go about it the poor kid was scared to death the tongue is a sharp tool watch what you say it can be very dangerous.”
“Eva Mungai has no moral authority to question Kasolo on parenting. She is just a slay queen who is having good time with a slay king. She should breastfeed first.”
“So men still have tears to shed? Kasolo must attend next year mens Conference. How could you cry infront of a slayqeen. Kibe must address this irritating issue.”
“You are just laughable. Are you apologising because you were caught and bashed by the media or because you feel deeply as a parent that you wronged the baby!Secondly, someone who is truly repentant can never try to justify their bad deeds. You own what you did and promise to do better. That’s it. This going on about where you were raised and being tied to a tree because your mom was late doesn’t just cut it.”
