Democratic Action Party- Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa has reacted to Raila Odinga’s remarks on helping President William Ruto’s administration that was on the brink of collapsing.
Taking to X, Wamalwa slammed Raila for boasting about helping a ‘corrupt regime’ instead of rescuing Kenyans from it.
” Instead of rescuing Kenya from the Murderous Ruto Regime,We rescue Ruto’s Corrupt Regime and boast about it? How does Azimio then continue Opposing a government that it is assisting? It’s Untenable and tantamount to running with the hare and hunting with the hounds,” he wrote.
On Monday, while visiting victims of Toi Market fire, Raila said that Ruto sought his help after realizing that his previous cabinet was failing him.
Raila further promised the traders that they will able to see change because he had given Ruto experts.
“They had failed, dissolved the Cabinet and came to us to give the people. They came begging please give us your people who know how to work,” the opposition leader said.
Those who were nominated to cabinet from opposition are Opiyo Wandayi(Energy), John Mbadi(National Treasury), Hassan Joho(Mining, blue economy and maritime affairs) and Wycliffe Oparanya(MSMEs and Cooperatives Development)
