The Kenyan entertainment industry has yet again been thrown into mourning following the death of comedian Fred Omondi, the younger brother of comedian-turned activist Eric Omondi.
According to reports, Fred died after being involved in a road accident on Friday night.
Sources say that he was knocked down by a matatu at outer ring road. He was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital after the accident but he did not make it.
The incident was reported at the Buruburu police station.
Kenyans have overwhelmingly send condolences messages to Eric Omondi and his family following the tragedy.
Comedian Fred Omondi is dead.
He was such a creative content creator.

His death came when he was to perform at Captains Lounge on Friday night. Fred was also scheduled to perform at club in Meru this Saturday, leaving netizens shocked.
“Literally your insta stories are still up…weeeh, truly this thing called life could end at any moment ,” an Instagram user commented on his last Instagram post.
“…his status. He wasn’t even sick.. he had planned for the weekend very well.. what has happened?.” read another comments.
Several others who were devastated by the news hoped that the reports were untrue.
“God please let this not be true,” one said.
Fred previously worked at Churchill show before he quit to focus on solo career and also music.
