Comedian Eric Omondi recently opened up on how deeply hurt he was when his relationship with Chantal Grazioli ended.
Eric, who was reacting to the incident whereby a Tanzanian woman put her husband’s image on a billboard to celebrate him on Valentines Day, said that he also did all that but in the end he was dumped.
“There is a time I also put my girlfriend on a billboard, a lot of them but I was still dumped. It was so painful because I did everything, I bought her a car. It cost me a lot of money. I even erected one at the airport. From that day, I fear love,” Eric said in an interview with Wasafi FM.
At the same time, the comedian revealed that he has no child or wife and yet he is aging but called upon Tanzanians not to forget him on that matter so that he can at least settle down.
“I am still looking for a wife, I tried getting one through wife material but it was impossible. Am turning 40 years, I don’t have any one, no child, no wife, so I am requesting the people of Arusha not to forget me when I make them laugh. I have been told that there are beautiful women in Arusha,” Eric said.
However, the having no child remarks might have not end well, considering the drama that he was embroiled in last year with journalist Jackie Maribe.
Eric is known to the father of Maribe’s son Zohari but she exposed him for being a deadbeat father, a move that saw them exchange words bitterly on social media.
He denied being the father and demanded a paternity test but according to him Maribe had refused that for a long time.
The two later reconciled after Bonfire adventure CEO Simon Kabu intervened and the comedian promised to take care of Zahari.
