Comedian Eric Omondi has asked Citizen TV reporter Sam Ogina to forgive him for dragging him into the child support drama.
In an Instagram post responding to Jacque Maribe’s allegations that he is deadbeat father, Eric claimed that he just had a one night stand with Jacque who was then dating Sam Ogina.
“It was really a one night thing because she was dating KTN’s Sam Ogina at the time. WE USED PROTECTION!!! After two Months Jacque tells me she’s Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me “It doesn’t matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!” Eric wrote.
According to Eric’s post, Sam could be the father of Maribe’s 7-year old son and that is why he was demanding for a DNA test to be sure he is the father and raise him up comfortably.
Sam denied Eric’s allegations saying that at the time Eric had ‘a thing’ with Maribe he was dating his wife Njeri.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this is me and Njeri at the same party in 2012. Eric had for long eyed Njeri and he has never gotten over the fact that she chose me and we are married. Eric, provoke me further and I will release the disgusting skeleton pictures you used to send her,” Ogina wrote.
In an interview with Mzazi Willy M. Tuva on his Mseto East Africa show, Eric accused Jacque of failing to protect her son.
“I meant what I posted. Maribe has really failed me. As a mother, she has failed in protecting her son as everyone knows her son is mine. We had kept these under wraps for seven years. Why expose it now?”
He asked Ogina to forgive him but still maintained that he dated Maribe.
“I want to ask for his forgiveness, I panicked and in a rush to wash my brand I ended up mentioning him. So I wanted to say all the details to explain why I wanted DNA. It’s true they dated but mentioning him was unnecessary. I would have said she was dating a popular news anchor,” Eric told Tuva.
The comedian is yet to reach out to Ogina to apologize in person.
