Enough Is Enough! DP Ruto Fires Another Shot At President Uhuru Kenyatta

Date:

Kenya Kwanza flagbearer William Ruto is claiming that chiefs and other public servants are being threatened in private meetings.

In a statement addressed to the head of state president Uhuru Kenyatta, who will soon be retiring, the second in command questioned if the intention of doing so is to disrupt peaceful elections.

He further wondered how Uhuru is going to benefit from that while asking him not to take the country to that direction.

“Mr. President, why are chiefs and other public servants being forced and threatened, in secret meetings, to undermine, manipulate and sabotage peaceful elections? What will it benefit you to foment conflict amongst innocent Kenyans? Boss, let’s not take the country this direction,” Ruto said through a tweet.

His message came just hours after he fearlessly condemned the president. While campaigning in Kapsabet, Nandi County, the second in command lectured the president telling him to stop threatening him and that they should respect each other.

Ruto called upon president Uhuru Kenyatta to restrain from mentioning him in events and instead focus on campaigning for Raila Odinga whom he termed as his project. He further asked him to tell Kenyans what the ODM Leader has in store for them.

“Leave me alone. I supported you when you needed a man to support you. If you don’t want to support me, leave me alone. With a lot of respect my friend Mr. President be a descent human being. Being thankful stop pretending yet we are the ones who helped you. Now you are threatening me, as long as you don’t kill my children, let us respect each other,” Ruto said.

This comes at a time when Kenyans are only left with 9 days before participating in the general elections.
