A teacher from Embu County has ended his life after his ex-girlfriend refused to reunite with him.
According to reports, the teacher, who has been identified as Denis Mukono, took his life on Wednesday after his efforts to reunite with the woman in question failed to bore fruits.
“I have decided to rest in peace. I have tried all means but all has been said,” the note read.
He proceeded to issue direction on his burial stating that it should be on Valentines with the estranged lover reading his eulogy.
“Phides Wambui Munyi to read the eulogy. Burial to take place on 14/2/2024. I should be buried at Kavenjero kwa Ithapu. All my property to be distributed to my children if any,” he said.
He also mentioned who should be the speaker at the event and further directing Nthawa MCA Sammy Tito to organize his send off.
Mukono further shared a photo that should be added to his funeral programme.
“Phides Wambui Munyi I promised to love you till my last breath. I may look stupid but I have shared my stress with 17 people . None talked to me. Let’ meet in heaven. I have pleaded with Phides but all has has fallen on deaf ears, love you all,” he concluded.
Before taking his life, the 32-year old on Monday, had made a Facebook post inviting his friends for a function on Valentines Day.
“Evening Members when you are stressed you just need one friend to share with, meanwhile I invite you to my function on 14/2/2024 welcome all,” he said.
Tito reported to the police that Mukono was not picking calls from his friends and family, only for his lifeless body to be retrieved at his house.
“The officers from scene of crime documented the scene after breaking the door to gain entry where two sachets suspected to be insecticide and a suicide note were found. We took the body to Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted as DCI officers commence investigations,” Mbeere North sub county Police Commander Eric Yego said.
