A Kenyan man identified as David Guoro was involved in a heated altercation with a traffic police officer in Runda over Kshs2000 bribe.
Trouble began when Guoro’s wife was involved in a minor accident.
The issue was settled with the complainant but the traffic police declined to release their car keys and even forcefully sat in the car’s back seat.
“I had a troubling encounter with a Kenyan traffic police officer (in the video) in Runda today. My wife had a minor accident, and we settled the issue with the other driver. However, the officer demanded Kshs 2,000 to return our car keys,” Guoro wrote on X accompanied by a video of his heated confrontation with the officer, which left him with some minor injuries.
In the video that has since gone viral, Guoro confronted the officer as the officer demanded him to stop recording him.
The officer further sought help from his bosses asking to be rescued.
An agitated Guoro however was not letting the traffic officer off the hook.
“Why are you in my car? The problem is between you and your colleagues not me. The complainant is already gone, we have settled with the complainant. Finish with your colleague not me. Your bringing your own issues with me. I was going to sort everything and your colleague called me we unakuja unaleta drama hapa I am wondering what is going on.
“The problem is money. You want money the other guys want money. Can’t you just iron your issues then you tell me,” he went on.
The traffic police officer was captured getting physical in an attempt to stop Guoro from recording the video.
