President William Samoei Ruto on Sunday left the audience surprised after he directed the men and women of God not to leave the statehouse.
Ruto who was addressing the attendees during prayer service at statehouse revealed that he had a request where the intercessors would be allowed to just walk within the compound for hours to pray and cast any demons that might exist.
The president also urged the attendees not to leave the statehouse without taking lunch. However, Kenyans had different views on this directive with others wondering if the presidential security will not monitor the men of God as they walk around.
On their side, the pastors stated that they were honored with such an opportunity to walk around the statehouse and that they would purify the compound and drive away the evils that might exist.
The president also took time to reiterate his previous sentiments on savings, maintaining that the 200 Kenya shillings that was being deducted was way much below. As a result, he urged Kenyans to embrace his new perspective to raise the amount to a higher figure.
According to the president, raising the amount will help the country to avoid being slaves of the lenders that impose very high interest rates.
In the meantime, the invitation to statehouse comes a few days after One pastor Peter Ambuka expressed his dissatisfaction at how the president and the first lady were only treating well the foreign men of God at their expense. Pastor Ambuka is one of those men of God who stood with Mr. Ruto at the Time of need hence he could not stomach being ignored to the point of not getting a lunch invite at statehouse.
“Let me begin criticizing the new government that I elected. William Ruto in his first day has betrayed all the the hustlers and Men of the cloth who supported him vehemently with all their lives. It was unfortunate to see many not getting their invitation card to the inauguration ceremony and also the Luncheon at statehouse. I have also seen the first lady hosting foreign prophets in state house. It is good to honor men of God but I thought she should have started with the local men and women of God who not only prayed and stood with them in their most difficult time but voted for her husband. If I would grade the hustler government based on its day one performance I would give 2 marks out of 10.” Wrote Bishop Ambuka.
