Drama As Police Officers Are Chased Away While Attempting To Arrest Criminals

4 police officers in Kisumu county encounter rather an unusual turn of events while in their line of duty.

The 4, who are based at Kasagam police station, were chased away by locals after raiding a home in Kisumu East area following a tip off that the occupants were selling illicit brew.

The officers arrived in the area in a police van, when an alarm was raised and residents quickly gathered around the police officers demanding them to go back to their place of work.

Three of the police officers escaped unhurt but one sustained serious injuries. The officers were forced to escape the crowd on foot, leaving behind their van.

“One of the officers sustained two deep cuts on the head, two cuts on the left cheek below his eyes and swollen right cheek,” a police report stated.

The police however called for back that was able to keep the angry mob at bay, with the injured officer being rushed to Blizz Medicare at Mega City.

He is said to be in  a stable condition but he is still under the observation of doctors.

None of the residents has however been arrested following the incident but a manhunt for the key suspects has been launched.

In a separate incident, four employs of Wells Fargo have been arrested by DCI detective in connection with the Ksh94 million Quickmart Heist.

The 4 are believed to have aided the robbery of the millions that occurred two weeks ago.

They have since been identified as;  Joel Oyuchi Mweseli, Harrison Mugendi Njeru, Caleb Ouma Okinyi and Ronald Ouma Oluu.

Detectives are still in pursuit of two other employees of the security company.

“Besides negligence of duty, the four staffers who are guests of the state for the weekend are believed to have conspired with the two prime suspects Daniel Mugetha and Anthony Nduiki who are still at large,” DCI said.

The four suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday.
