A Nairobi woman was forced to spend a better part of her Thursday October 14 evening stuck inside a popular Pizza joint in the city.
Sandra Wahiga was locked at Pepinos Pizza joint in Nairobi’s CBD along Kimathi street after making a stop over for dinner with a friend.
She allegedly went to the ladies’ washroom but on coming back she was shocked to find the place deserted and locked up.
Having no other option, Wahiga took to twitter to rally her followers in a bid to find the managers of the pizza joint so that she could be let out.
“Please retweet or help me reach out to someone who can help,” she tweeted a video of herself.
“Anyone who follows me, I need your help. I am locked in at an eatery along Moi Avenue, @Pepinos pizza, @Chicken Hse, @Blueberry along Kimathi street CBD. I was in the ladies when they locked up. Which was an hour ago. Please retweet to help me get to the manager or owners,” she further said.
Wahiga expressed her fear of having to spent the night at the joint and miss going to work on Friday.
“I have to go to work tomorrow… anyone who knows anyone who could help in this situation, please help…. yeah…. eeerrm, I’m stuck,” she stated.

However, this was a fun moment for some twitter users as some questioned why she was not eating Pizza wen she was surrounded by so many of them.
“Me ningekuwa kitchen nikikula stock as I wait,” Muthoni Maryanne tweeted.
“Pole sana, but ata na miwani hukuona ukifungiwa?” another user @Kanyoro joked.
While @Brayo_ryan Tweeted, I” don’t know what seams funny but truly how will you explain to your boss that the reason you are late for work is because you were locked somewhere in the ladies at an eatery in the CBD.”
Kawangware Finest said, “Sandra Wahiga should be proud to have been locked herself in Pepinos. Let’s her eat all pizza . Kwani hakusikia milango ikifungwooo. I hope she has her type C charge, as she will be giving us update every hour. Good night @swahigx.
Other followers wondered how she got locked up at the joint when she had checked in with a friend.
“How your friends were comfortable leaving and waiting for you outside as they locked you in is what puzzles me,” the @firstwhitewalker tweeted.
After three long hours of waiting, Wahiga was finally set free from her ‘little prison’ and even escorted home.
“UPDATE; Help came through. I was rescued. Thank you to each of you who took the time to retweet or reply to me. It meant so much Special mention goes to @NPSOfficial_KE
who came to my rescue, with special mention to Inspector Oyoo, he specifically ensured that I was dropped home,” she informed her followers.
