President Uhuru Kenyatta is celebrating his 60th birthday and so many Kenyans have sent him birthday messages.
His deputy William Ruto was not left behind. DP Ruto set politics aside and celebrated his boss with a beautiful message.
In a tweet, Ruto prayed for president Kenyatta’s success as he continues to lead the country.
“Please join me in wishing our leader, the PRESIDENT, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and to pray for his success as he guides the nation towards a greater promise. God bless you, Sir; To many, many more!” Ruto wrote.
Ruto’s kind gesture however did not go very well with a section of netizens.
“Why don’t you call him by the now famous “Tapeli” brand! Why wait for political rallies to use name branding when you can easily write or better still, call him and “Tapeli” name him,” Rodgers Owaga responded to Ruto’s tweet.
“Leo ni president kesho ni tapeli. You’re a hypocrite,” Peter
“Hypocrite! Eating your own government, ata mungu haezi kubali,” Kateni Ke said.
Other leaders who sent the president wishes include Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchymba Murkomen who said, “A very happy birthday to you Rais Uhuru Kenyatta. I hope you have a great day today and many more in the years to come. Enjoy!”
Kitui governor Charity Ngilu wrote, “HE Uhuru Kenyatta, as you turn a year older, may God grant you the wisdom to continue leading this great country we call home into even greater prosperity. Happy Birthday Mr. President. #UhuruAt60.”
While nominated senator Millicent Omanga said, “Happy birthday president Uhuru Kenyatta. May this be your happiest day and many more to come. I pray for God’s grace and plenitude of blessings as you continue to lead our beautiful country. Have a blast!”
