Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has claimed that corrupt leaders have no access to some of the first world countries.
According to him, such leaders are not allowed to countries like, UK , US and Denmark.
Kipkorir said that their applications for Visas are declined and issued with a permanent stamp about being barred.
“The easiest way to tell if your governor, MP or minister is corrupt, terrorist or money launderer, let them apply for visa to US, UK, or Denmark. The moment they apply, the application will not only be rejected but their passports stamped: Barred permanently from UK, US or Denmark and then the ban is entered in Travel Advisories,” he said in a tweet.
Mike Sonko, is one of the politician who has been affected in the past by the strict Visa rules.
Sonko and his family were barred from visiting US permanently because of graft allegations that during his tenure as Nairobi governor.
“His (Sonko’s) corruption has been widely reported in local and international press. With this designation the department reaffirms the need for accountability, transparency and respect for rule of law in Kenya’s democratic institutions, government processes and the actions of the public officials,” the US embassy in Kenya revealed.
