Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura has no plans of leaving his wife Nelius Mukami neither is it the other way round.
Mwaura claims that their relationship is currently very tight after undergoing some storms in the past.
“I don’t think ours is immune to the challenges. We have had our own challenges and overcome any challenges that we have had. We are currently very tight,” he said in an interview with Mpasho.
According to him, they have been married for 7 years and at such a stage is when couples begin having problems in their union.
“Marriages go through a cycle like a human being. There is infancy, childhood, adolescence and maturity. After around six or seven years, couples have challenges. We are now in our seventh year in marriage,” Mwaura noted.
“We are happy and we will never hide that we have gone through different challenges and overcome,” he added.
He also had a piece of advice to couples having troubles in their marriages
“We no longer share so much about ourselves on social media. Get older people who can advise you in regards to marriages and put God first before everything, and know that He is the only one who can fight your battles,” Mwaura said.
In July 2021, Mukami hinted that she was done with Mwaura in cryptic social media posts.
“Removing yourself instead of returning bad energy is growth!” Mukami said, adding in a separate post that, “Fall in love with your solitude… If you treat your partner like a kid, they’re eventually going to grow up and leave you, the same way kids grow up and no longer need their parents’ control.”
According to sources, it is alleged that Mwaura had become physically abusive and Mukami warned him to change his ways or else she would leave him.
