Didmus Barasa In Trouble For Forcing A 13 Year Old Girl To Entertain Him In A Bar

Date:

Kimilili member of parliament Didmus Barasa may be a man in trouble after his video with an under age girl in a drinking den went viral.

In the video, the visibly bossy and tipsy Didmus Barasa sat comfortably as the under-age girl labored to entertain him with a number of sips from the cup.

As a result, an unidentified woman who claimed to be a child advocate went to Akila police station in a bid to report the Kimilili legislator for the behavior.

The woman argued that  the girl was being coerced by Didmus Barasa to feed him with alcohol as he also forced her to take the same content.

“Today I came to Akila police station to report an incident. There is a video that is doing rounds in social media that is involving the young girl of about 14-13 years old and evidently from that video, the child is being coerced by a senior public officer in this country to feed him with alcohol and also forcing the child to take something like busaa.

“I have looked at the comments that are being recorded and commented on that particular clip and I got concerned it could be my daughter and I came to Akila police station to report the matter .

“I have been referred to the child protection unit and I believe that the child protection unit experts will be able to investigate the matter, ask the member of parliament to give his side of the story on what he was doing with a child and forcing the child to feed him with alcohol. So that’s why I’m here today.

Asked what motivated her to take the action against Didmus Barasa, the woman said that she was touched by the concerns of the netizens who rebuked the legislator for the act.

The woman also vowed to pursue the matter to its conclusion having practiced as a child protection officer for many years.

“I have seen the comments, members of the public are concerned about the action of this particular mheshimiwa and it is a bad example. Really, that is a teenager and even if she is his daughter, I am not happy with the demeanor, the  place they are seated and the child being forced to feed a whole big man with a jug of alcohol. So I felt aggrieved and am a child protection officer for many years.”
