Didmus Barasa Hails Edwin Sifuna As He Accuses Cleophas Malala Of Failing Government

Date:

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has insisted that Cleophas Malala is unfit to be UDA’s secretary general.

Speaking during the morning show at K24 on Thursday, Barasa said that Malala was not doing his job like his counterpart Edwin Sifuna of ODM.

“Edwin Sifuna understands his job description as the Secretary General, ours, Cleophas Malala doesn’t. You cannot match the two,” he said.

The MP further noted that Malala never responds to lies that Sifuna and other opposition leaders peddle against the government

“When comparing the performance of a particular individual, you compare him in terms of how he has responded to propaganda that Edwin Sifuna has been flying from one media house to another against the government. They have been going unanswered. Nobody has been answering them.  Have you ever heard Malala anywhere defending the government?” Barasa maintained.

“The role of a secretary general is to guard your party against any falsehood, any propaganda levelled against it and you come out to set the record straight saying whatever so and so said is not true this is what is true. Have we ever heard Cleophas Malala anywhere defending the government?” he further posed.

He also accused Malala of causing chaos in meetings instead of uniting people.

On Wednesday, Barasa also accused Malala of being an opposition mole while calling for his dismissal.

“You find the UDA SG convening meetings and asking Mudavadi to explain how many projects he has steered because he is a leader in the national government. He goes ahead to say the Western caucus is conducting a fundraising yet we are in government. This is opposition language and that is why we are saying Malala is a mole and should be shown the door,” he said.
