The Kenya Kwanza team on Tuesday June 7, split up to campaign in different parts of the country in a bid to garner more votes ahead of August 9 elections.
ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader who doubles up as Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula led Kenya Kwanza campaigns in the Western party of Kenya particularly in Mt. Elgon.
DP William Ruto’s running mate, who is also Mathira MP, led another team of the Alliance in Nyeri while DP Ruto was in the North Eastern part of the country.
The second in command was accompanied by Garissa Town MP Aden Duale among other leaders from the region.
The team however had a rough time in selling their agenda to the locals. In one incident as Duale was giving his address, an unidentified man disrupted him by climbing on top of his vehicle.
The security charged in to contain the intruder who then sought to support himself with Duale’s trouser during the struggle.
The lawmaker was swayed from side to side as he held on to his pair of trousers to avoid being shamed publicly.
“Let him be,” Duale could be heard saying in the video that is making rounds on social media.
