Embakasi East MP Babu Owino also used the opportunity to clear his name from ugly Jacaranda incident.
“Look at these photos keenly. The guys in same uniform stoning Ruto’s car and at the same time providing security at the same rally. Wacha kutubeba mafala after stage managing your own attack,” the lawmaker said.
UDA had accused Babu Owino of being behind the incident and even wrote to IEBC seeking to have him disqualified from the Embakasi East parliamentary race.
UDA accused Babu Owino of sabotaging his opponent’s campaign
““The responsibility of the Commission is to reign in on Babu Owino and consider disqualifying him together with any other high-handed candidate who purports to hold the campaigns of their opponents hostage to their whimsical political ambitions which are contrary to the Constitution and the IEBC Code of Conduct,” UDA said.
UDA’s Francis Mureithi is Babu Owino’s main opponent. He was injured during the standoff.
