During the Monday morning debate on revenue sharing formula at the Senate, another heated exchanges erupted and this time around, Murkomen gave Siaya senator James Orengo a doze of his own medicine.
It all began when Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen called on Senator Orengo to act according to what he believed was right for three of there colleagues who are under siege – Senators Senators, Steve Lelegwe (Samburu), and Christopher Langat (Bomet) are in police custody while Cleophas Malala (Kakamega).
“To arrest three Senators. To make it impossible for them to come and their decision. To exercise the sovereign right of people of Kenya that was donated to Senator Malala, Senator Langat, and Senator Lelegwe to come and exercise in this house.
“And for any colleague to support that process it will be a pity and the worst day in this country,” Murkomen said.
The former majority leader urged the senators to look at themselves and the situation the House is going through at the moment.
Murkomen went ahead to remind Orengo of what he told him sometime back during the Election (Amendment) Bill debate at the Senate.
At the debate, Senator Orengo warned Murkomen that they should not just pass bills since they have the numbers since if they do, the same government they pass with punish those in the same government more than those in the opposition.
“Revolutions eat their own children, governments eat their own people. This government is going to punish you (Murkomen and his colleagues) and it will punish me,” Senator Orengo warned the Egeyo Marakwet.
It a sharp turn of events, it is now Murkomen warning Orengo with his same line of advice regarding the debate on the revenue sharing formula on the floor of the senate.

“Senator Orengo told me on the floor of this House said that “revolution eats its own children” and this government was going to be worse to us than them that were on the Opposition then,” Murkomen said.
He further said: “Senator Orengo seated in a more privileged position than me, he has the ear of the President and the Government. I want to tell Senator Orengo it (the government) has devolved me and now it will come for you.”
