A 57-year old Dentist from Italy is in trouble for presenting a fake arm to receive a coronavirus vaccine.
The dentist could face criminal charges for trying to receive the jab on the arm made of silicon.
A nurse at the vaccination center where the dentist had gone to receive his jab in the northern City of Biella, Filippa Bua, said that she noticed something was not right when he presented his arm for the shot.
“When I uncovered the arm, I felt skin that was cold and gummy, and the color was too light,’’ Bua said.
At first, she thought the man was an amputee and had presented a wrong arm. She lifted his shirt and realized that it was a silicone arm.
“I understood immediately that the man was trying to avoid the vaccination by using a silicone prosthetic, into which he hoped that I would inject the drug, unaware,” Bua said.
The 57-year old admitted that he did not want to get a vaccine but wanted to just get a pass so that he could enter restaurants, cinemas, theaters and other venues in Italy as only those with proof of vaccination would be allowed to such places as from Monday.
It was also established that he had been dismissed from work for refusing to get a covid vaccine.
“We stopped and reflected, and we understood that this wasn’t just a surreal situation, but a real attempt at fraud,’’ Bua said.
The nurse and her colleagues reported the matter to the management who in turn reported the case to the authorities.
