Dennis Itumbi has made a bold claim saying President Uhuru Kenyatta called him en-route from Mwea asking him why he stopped supporting him and indirectly telling him to stop supporting then Deputy President William Ruto in his bid to become President.
Itumbi alleges that President Uhuru Kenyatta promised to “finish him” for choosing to support Ruto’s presidential bid in the 2022 elections.
At one time, the controversial blogger was abducted and tortured for his association with Deputy President William Ruto, and was discovered in a severely injured state after reportedly enduring six hours of torture.
The painful ordeal took place in the Lucky Summer area of Kasarani.
Dennis Itumbi was found in a harrowing condition, having sustained multiple injuries, including fractured legs, a damaged left hand, and injuries on various parts of his body. He was discovered without clothes by a taxi driver who was understandably shocked by the sight.
Bizarrely, he appeared disoriented, reportedly telling the concerned driver that he believed he was in Eldoret, a town located miles away from Kasarani. His left eye was bleeding, suggesting a possible injury to his eye during the traumatic ordeal.
During his ordeal, Itumbi’s captors reportedly changed vehicles multiple times while communicating via phones, consistently claiming that they were en route to Eldoret. This misinformation contributed to Itumbi’s disorientation, making it even more challenging for him to know where they were going.
Adding to the mysterious circumstances, Itumbi’s mobile phone was missing.
According to Itumbi’s brother, David, the blogger alleged that his captors identified themselves as police officers. This claim has sent shockwaves through the public and the political community, prompting demands for answers from the relevant authorities. However, the police categorically denied any involvement or knowledge of the incident.
Speaking to Willis Raburu on his show WabebeXP, Itumbi opened up about his bitter relationship with former President Uhuru Kenyatta saying he doesn’t give a damn.
