The body of unidentified man was on Tuesday evening retrieved from a tank used to store drinking water in Machakos county.
According to one eyewitness and a cleaner at the County Children Office by the name Stephen Manthi, he noticed flies emanate from the tank and decided to have a look. To his shock, there was a naked body of a man floating on the water storage facility. Sad enough, the office has been using that water for cooking and drinking purposes.
The cause of the death still remains unknown with residents wondering how the man entered the tank unnoticed. Some alleged that the man might have committed suicide while others claimed that maybe he was murdered and dipped into the tank.
The incident was confirmed by the Machakos County Criminal Investigation Officer (CCIO) Mr. Charlse Mutua.

The body was removed then ferried to the morgue at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital. Police officers have launched an investigation in a bid to establish the cause of his death.
