Day To Axe DP Ruto From Jubilee Finally Announced As 3 Agendas Are Listed For A 2-day Long Convention

Date:

The ruling party Jubilee has announced the dates for its much anticipated  National Delegates conference (NDC).

According to a statement from the party’s secretary general Raphael Tuju, the NDC will take place on February 25 and 26 this year.

“Take notice that pursuant to article 7.1:1 and 7.1:2 of the Jubilee party constitution, the National Delegates convention will be held on 25th and 26th February 2022 at KICC beginning from 10 am,” Tuju said.

The statement further lists three crucial things that will be matters of discussion which include;

  • Review, formulate and/or approve Jubilee party policies
  • Amend, review and/or ratify proposed changes to Jubilee party  constitution to comply with current electoral laws.
  • Approve the proposed new seal, symbol and flag of the party
  • Consider and approve any other matters.

Jubilee NDC was to be held on November 30, 2021, but was postponed since President Kenyatta was to deliver his state of the Nation speech at the Parliament on the same date.

“The President, who is also the Jubilee Party Leader, will deliver the constitutionally binding annual State of the Nation address on 30th November, the same day when the Jubilee NDC is scheduled. The NDC is an important event for the Party and as such a new date and venue will be communicated later,” Tuju said then.

It was expected that DP Ruto and his allies would be kicked out of the party after his fall out with president Kenyatta and over his criticisms towards the government and Jubilee as well.

“Civility is not cowardice, but our patience has now run out. The saboteurs that have been sitting on the fence, giving us unwarranted lectures must now know their time is up, irrespective of their stature or political positions,” Eldas MP Adan Keynan said.
