Eliud Owalo, the Cabinet Secretary of ICT has been named the Africa Digital Personality of the year.
The CS won the award during the 8th edition of the Africa Digital Economy Awards that was held in Nairobi on Friday November 10.
“I have this evening been named Africa Digital Personality of the Year at the eighth edition of the Africa Digital Economy Awards in Nairobi,” he shared on his social media pages.
Meanhwile, Owalo is trending on social media after donating a bus worth Kshs20 million to popular football club Gor Mahia.
The 42-seater bus was delivered to the football team at the Moi Sports Club Kasarani, in the presence of hundreds of fans.
The high class vehicle was received from general motors along Mombasa Road and taken all the way to Kasarani in the company of a huge crowd.
Owalo and his family as well as other officials of Gor Mahia sat in the bus as it cruised through the city.
“I am happy to have delievered on my promise to the club. Now focus is on the club house and stadiumto ensure that this club gets to the level of other big teams. I thank all the friends who have walked with me in this journey,” he said.
