CS Keriako Tobiko under fire over remarks linked to Ruto

Date:

The political heat in Jubilee camp continues to escalate each and every day. In another twist Environment and Forestry CS Keriako Tobiko has found himself in the mud over his remarks believed to be directed at the Deputy President William Ruto.

CS Keriako Tobiko on Thursday, dismissed political leaders for engaging in premature campaigns stating that the office of the president is not vacant.

Tobiko instead called on leaders to direct their efforts into meaningful use which will benefit the country. He spoke in Kajiado county where he had accompanied other government officials to inspect projects in the county.

However, his sentiments have attracted a lot of criticism from the Deputy President’s camp. Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, through his twitter handle, told of Keriako Tobiko that he has no moral authority to lecture DP Ruto.

“Mr. Tobiko you are a mere clerk in Jubilee govt. You forget so fast that you became a CS because the President was trying to get rid of you from the office of DPP. You have no moral authority to lecture your boss the DP even if he is being molested by his boss.First try to be MCA,” Murkomen wrote.

The former Majority Leader also accused Tobiko of Nepotism and asked the President if he had lost control over his cabinet.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa echoed Murkomen’s sentiments calling CS Tobiko a loser and asking him to enjoy Kemsa scandal proceeds.

Nelson Koech, MP Belgut, responded to Tobiko with an old clip calling him an idiot and a loser who failed to deliver during his tenure as the DPP.

This comes just a day after Murkomen boldly stated that the problem facing Jubilee has nothing to do with the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga but with the President. He accused the president of sidelining his deputy and creating a rift in the ruling party.
