Billionaire Jimi Wanjigi on Wednesday proved beyond reasonable doubts that he has not moved on from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
The billionaire had attended the launch of the Safina party attended by various personalities including veteran lawyer Paul Muite.. However, what stood out was the fact that Jimi wanjigi had carried his own orange microphone, symbolizing his former party ODM.
According to Kenyans, Wanjigi had not just moved on from Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) hence his obsession even with an orange microphone.
“See Jimi Wanjigi using an ODM microphone during the launch of the Safina party. I think the billionaire is finding it hard to move on from the opposition party.” Said his follower.
“Hehe see now everyone in the Safina party is using Wanjigi’s orange microphone. It’s funny that they have over six microphones but still prefer using the ODM one. We are living in strange times.” Added his follower.
Even in his speech at the Safina launch, Jimi Wanjigi still referred to ODM as his party, throwing Kenyans into confusion whether he was just in Safina party by body while his mind and heart were in ODM.
Strangely, Kenyans complained of the audio which kept going on and off, making them wonder if his favorite microphone was just spoilt or whether it was due to network issues.
“Now your microphone must be having issues because we cannot hear you well. Iyo microphone ya ODM ni kama imeharibika unafaa uitupe mbali.” Said a Kenyan.
In the meantime, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Edwin Sifuna was recently involved in a war of words with the security agencies because of Jimi Wanjigi.
Edwin Sifuna was angered by the fact that the police officers manning the gate allowed Jimi Wanjigi to gain entry to the Kasarani stadium where their ODM National Delegates Conference (NDC) was taking place.
Apparently, Jimi Wanjigi had taken cover inside one of the dirty toilets within the stadium to run away from the visibly angry Edwin Sifuna who came out of the meeting accompanied by some supporters.
Sensing the presence of Mr. Sifuna, Jimi wanjigi quickly rushed to the toilet since he was uncertain of the consequences he would face from Mr. Sifuna and his youths.
As a result, there was a melee within Kasarani stadium with Wanjigi’s goons taking on ODM’s security personnel. So serious was the disagreement that Wanjigi had to be ejected from Kasarani stadium, his goons having been overpowered.
On their side, Kenyans had the following sentiments after the Wanjigi Sifuna sharp disagreement:
“Jimmy Wanjigi is Ruto’s agent,he can’t and won’t be anywhere closer to the Azimio event! Call him to go attend Ruto rally with you please…”
“The man Jimmi Wanjigi went to court to file a case against the NDC being held saying it was wrongly constituted. The court threw away him and his case. Why again try to attend a meeting which he openly disputed?..He was chased away like a porcupine with his billions and his Rolex watches..He should go appeal in court… Nonsense Kichwa malenge shughulika na za kwako.”
“From today Jimmy Wanjigi will start respecting other leaders and I know he has started to reform his behavior. He always thinks he is above other Kenyans.ODM is not in the business of doing chest thumping ,deceit and hate politics.Kenya is a democratic multiparty country where Wanjigi can try UDA/Kenya kwanza.”
“Wanjigi called this an illegal meeting, why was he even attending in the first place? Jimmy has been bad mouthing ODM left and right then wants to attend their meetings.”
“Good job,I watched it from the beginning the way he started approaching Kasarani,police officers pleaded with him not to try accessing but he didn’t listen to them.From today Jimmy Wanjigi know that the real owners of ODM are on the ground not chungwa house. Wanjigi can’t be moving up and down saying how ODM is rotten and at the same time forcing himself to be part of it.”
“Either way, he could have been handled by the security officers for causing mayhem in a presidential function. The party already communicated to him that he is not in the delegates list, whatever was to befall him for disobeying simple instruction was up to him.”
“But the guy wasn’t invited…This is a Delegates Conference not a rally.Kindly underline the word Delegates.”
“The day William Ruto will allow anyone else to be a presidential candidate in UDA other than himself is the day we will listen to your stupid comments about ODM..Ruto hawezi kupea hata wiki Moja,heri Rao..Wanjingi has been doing this for a long time now.”
“Wanjigi is a conman like Ruto. He is not an ODM delegate, he wasn’t invited, why go there? Afurushwe.”
“He wasn’t a delegate. Let tangatanga embrace him as their preferred presidential candidate.”
“ODM supporters have tolerated Wanjigi for so long ,boys did a good job and Wanjigi is free to join UDA/Kenya kwanza.Remember the other day DCI said wanjigi is holding illegal guns and that means he is a very dangerous man.”
“You are desperate.You need some reflective moments to get something better to whine about. Obsession with Rao is not doing your enterprise any good. Wanjigi just start selling Ruto.”
“There has been a series of activities today,some axing Ruto out of Jubilee, but you sent Wanjigi to rock ODM from within, but you didn’t know against who.”
