Close Allies Of President Ruto That Have Been Ignored In The Principal Secretary Nominations

President William Ruto released a list of 51 individuals who will serve in the Kenya Kwanza administration as Principal Secretaries once approved by parliament.

The new administration increased the Principal Secretary slots from 42 of the previous administration.

A total of 585 people including politicians who lost in the August 9 general elections both from Kenya Kwanza and other political affiliations, and officials in the Jubilee administration, among other individuals, were shortlisted for the jobs by the Public Service Commission.

Several politicians allied to Ruto who lost in elections and missed in the Cabinet Secretaries slots have been awarded with the Principal Secretary jobs.

They  include former Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir who has been nominated to the Lands, Planning and Housing Ministry as PS for lands and physical planning. Jonathan Mueke who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitui gubernatorial seat was also nominated as PS in the Sports docket.

Ruto however ignored some of his close political allies who were in the shortlist despite the fact that they supported him in the August 9 general elections. They include, Former Nominated MP David Ole Sankok, Former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal, Former Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura and Former Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa who unsuccessfully vied for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat on an Ford Kenya ticket.

Other big names that were not considered for nomination include  Susan Mochache, Mercy Mwangangi and Patrick Amoth, who served in Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration under the Health docket, IEBC commissioner Boya Molu, Wafula Chebukati’s wife Mary Wanyonyi among others.
