Renown political reporter Chemutai Goin has finally exited Citizen TV.
On her final day at the Royal Media Services owned TV, her colleagues surprised her with a farewell cake.
Those present included Trevor Ombija, Ayub Abdikadir, Gatete Njoroge, Dennis Otieno among others.
In her farewell speech she recounted when she first went to Citizen on November 21, 2018.
“I am going to miss you guys. I am very careful by how I handle with myself because naweza cheka niko na roho ndogo. I talk a lot and people think everyday is a happy day but we don’t carry sand to the beach,” she added.

Chemutai is leaving Citizen TV for a role at the Office of the speaker on the National Assembly.
“Chemutai is going to work as senior communications person in the office of the National Assembly speaker Moses Wetang’ula,” a source recently revealed to the media.
Her colleagues hailed her for being hard working, adding that she will be missed dearly.
“Your attitude is amazing you give your all. Beba hio attitude enda nayo and you will prosper,” Jamila Mohammed said.
“You delivered your assignments with distinction and determination, crafted your own niche (political reporting), and your dynamism in reportage in other areas only admirable. For the profession, the stratospheric height you attained is unmatched.@Chemutai_Goin keep GOIN-ing,” Abdikadir shared on X.
Also leaving Citizen TV is Hassan Mugambi, who will be joining the office of Defence CS Aden Duale. Mugambi is expected to begin his role in March.
