CCTV Shows Main Suspect Linked to Gruesome Roysambu Murder

Date:

CCTV footage has identified the main suspect linked to the gruesome killing of a 20-year-old girl in Roysambu.

The suspect allegedly killed and chopped the girl’s body parts and dumped them in a trash bag outside the room.

Before the incident, he was captured around 4:20 pm on Saturday, January 13, walking while talking on the phone outside a shop adjacent to the building where the body parts were found dumped.

The suspect later walked straight to the cashier and handed him his phone. After speaking for a few seconds, the cashier gave the suspect a key.

According to the CCTV footage, the suspect appeared to be in a hurry while holding firmly a black bag. He returned after five minutes and handed over the payment to the cashier before leaving.

That was the last time he was captured by the CCTV camera around the area. According to the caretaker, the suspect never returned the keys.

The proprietor of the Airbnb property stated that she received a call from the caretaker who discovered body parts inside the trash bag in the house.

Following the unmasking of the main suspect, detectives intensified operations moving from house to house to help get information that would help in arresting the main suspect.

Meanwhile, preliminary reports indicate that the identity of the deceased has been identified. However, her family members refused to speak to the press indicating that the matter was still under investigation.

The incident comes barely a month after Starlet Wahu was found dead at an airbnb in Nairobi South C.

The main suspect identified as John Matara was tracked and arrested.
