“Bullies Never Win” Sauti Sol’s Chimano Cries Foul After What Kenya Police Did To Him

Date:

Austin Chimano of Sauti Sol boys band is greatly disappointed after an event that he has been working for so hard got cancelled at the last minute.

The Love and harmony festival was to go down at the Junction mall, Nairobi on Saturday February 26 from noon-12 am midnight.

“Bullies never win….. You’ve only made my resolve stronger. You may have gotten your cute little way this time but the show that I’ve been working so hard on will be seen! Take that as fact!” Chimano affirmed.

According to a statement he shared on his social media pages, the event was cancelled due to security reasons.

“It is with great regret that we announce that the Love and harmony Festival has been called off. Unfortunately and despite our preparedness , we have been informed by the Kenya Police that we can not host our event due to security reasons,” part of the statement read.

The event was supposed to be held at Westlands at first, but after the police advised them to hold it out of the area for the same security reasons, they opted for The Junction Mall.

“We met the same hurdle at our new venue, The Junction Mall. Both venues were willing to host us however, however without the goodwill of the police we can not proceed. Good will which was unfairly and unjustly denied,” the statement further read.

The organizers however noted that that was not the end for the festival and promised to communicate to those who had purchased tickets within the next 48 hours.
