Joe Biden is poised to be the next president of America, only six electoral college votes separates him from the White House.
The Democratic party presidential flag bearer flipped back the state of Michigan to take his tally to 264 electoral votes, just six shy of the 270 electoral votes needed to be president.
Biden’s win of Michigan state means that he only needs to win Nevada’s 6 electoral votes to be president.
The Democratic challenger is locked in a tight race with the incumbent president in three other battleground states; Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes), North Carolina (15 electoral votes) and Georgia (16 electoral votes).
Biden however doesn’t need to even win these three battleground states if he carries Nevada where he is currently leading.
However, the Democratic challenger is still the favorite to win the remaining states as majority of mail-in votes being tallied are in his favor.
Biden initially won another swing state – Wisconsin (10 electoral votes) to push his tally closer to the 270 threshold.
Meanwhile Trump campaign has filed a number of lawsuits to stop vote tallying in the key battleground states where Biden is leading.
