Victor Obama has gone viral after posting a picture holding a placard begging for financial assistance to help him join Maranda High School.
Victor scored 412 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.Â
He attended Jilca Junior Academy in Kakamega but his dreams of joining Maranda High School look shattered due to financial constraints.
With less than 20 days to the school’s reopening, Victor decided to appeal to well-wishers to support him.
According to the placard, Obama was offered positions at Maranda and Kamusinga boys’ schools but is unable to enrol because his sickly mother is unable to raise the necessary funds.
“I want to further my education so that I can achieve my academic dreams and support my weak mother,” the placard says in part.
“I tried some scholarships but was not considered.”
Details on the placard say well-wishers can contact his aunt Sarah Kausi at 0725557572.
