Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua and the director of Communication for William Samoei Ruto campaign Hussein Mohamed have been exposed by controversial blogger Robert Alai for lying to Kenyans.
The two were caught using the same crowds for different rallies on photos they shared on their respective social media handles.
The photos were first shared by Hussein on Saturday May 21 at 4.37 pm revealing that that was the crowd that had shown up for the Kenya Kwanza rally in Karatina, Nyeri county.
“Karatina, Nyeri County. Just warming up,” he captioned his post.

On the other hand, Rigathi, who is DP Ruto’s running mate, also shared the same photos on May 21, at 7.32pm while thanking the Mathira people, for showing up in large numbers to support him.
“Mathira, my people, I will love you for the rest of my life for the love you have shown me. You have honored me and dignified my leadership,” the MP said.

Kenya Kwanza Alliance on Saturday traversed Nyeri county in a bid to lure more voters to their side ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
This is not the first time Ruto allies have been caught faking crowds. On Thursday last week, Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata was blasted for editing his campaign poster by using one of the campaign photos of the now defunct National Super Alliance.
At the foreground were photos of Kang’ata and his preferred deputy while the NASA rally was visible in the background.

Kang’ata who is seeking to replace governor Mwangi Wa Iria used the photo that was taken back in 2017.
Following the backlash, the senator was forced to delete the photo
