Betty Kyallo has been revealing some juicy details concerning her life during this COVID-19 period. The K24 presenter has revealed some of her peculiar habits she indulges in when she takes a glass too many.
In a video that she shared with her fans on the evening of Saturday, May 2, the outspoken anchor, while making it clear she never takes beer, disclosed that once she becomes tipsy, she drunk-calls her ex-lovers among other people in her life.
She also noted that for her former lovers, the conversation does not centre around negativity but only to confirm if they were still in good terms.
She further pointed out that apart from her ex-lovers, she also calls her mother and friends she is not too close to.
“When I get it tipsy, I normally call people. I call my mum, I call my ex-lovers, I call my friends who I don’t like. They are not friends but are people who act like friends but I don’t like them.
“First I call my mum and I am like ‘Mummy, thank you very much for birthing me.’ Mum is like, ‘Betty, it is 12:47 a.m. and you are waking me up?'” she narrates.
She further revealed that she calls her sister Mercy Kyallo and gets ambitious about projects they could do as sisters including a TV show. Mercy, however, dismisses her by asking her to go back o sleep.
That, from her narration, is the cue for her to reach out to her former boyfriends.
“I call my exes. I have called a couple of them. I am like ‘Hey Pete, what is up?’ And it is like 1:47 a.m. and I tell them that the way we broke things off was not the best,” she adds noting that if one doesn’t work, she tries another.
That is when she moves to the friends ‘she does not like’ but claims she did not have courage to tell them the truth before.
This was the second video regarding the subject matter the anchor had made after she got under sharp criticism when she released a hard-hitting, expletive-laden rant that went viral on Monday, March 30.
The visibly fed-up Betty, at the time, lamented about the pressure that came with her career and the constant scrutiny into her life, dismissing critics who accuse her of not being a proper role model to the younger generation.
“Everybody out there who thinks that Betty’s not good enough, saying she’s not a role model; oh my gosh, I don’t care.
“Because I do my best, I work hard, I’m a mum, not yet a wife but hopefully soon, I’m a businesswoman. So for everyone that’s going to hate on this video saying oh Betty Kyallo was spotted drunk, [expletive] you,” she lashed out.
