Riziki Murega, daughter to Meru’s First Gentleman Murega Baichu is pleading for financial help to clear her school balance of Ksh150,000.
Riziki explained that her mother was not able to pay the balance as the little she gets only allows her to care for other basic needs.
She thus asked Kenyans to help her raise the money in order to complete her university education.
“Throughout my academic journey, I have been supported by well-wishers and I will always be grateful. I am once more appealing to you as my people to help me raise fees, accommodation, and meal money until I finish in May 2024,” she pleaded.
Riziki explained that the fees accumulated for the last three semesters and now she is at risk of not sitting for the final exams despite being a government-sponsored student.
The 22-year-old is the firstborn in a family of three and she has been raised by her mother since the separation between her mother and Baichu who married embattled Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza.
Riziki’s Relationship With Baichu
Riziki stated that she was not in good terms with Baichu who reportedly cut his first family off after marrying the embattled Meru Governor.
“My efforts to reach him (Baichu) have been futile. Every time I have tried to contact him in the past, I received negative responses. I have not spoken to him in over eight years,” she told a local publication.
By the time of this publication, Baichu had not responded to her daughter’s allegations.
