Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has refuted claims of ditching DP William Ruto’s camp, Tanga Tanga, for Kieleweke.
Ngunjiri termed the reports that circulated widely on social media as false news while insisting that he is still supporting DP Ruto and that he was not going anywhere.
“I have not decamped from Tangatanga as it has been reported by a section of the media, I don’t know where they got that information from,” Ngunjiri said.
His lawyer Danstan Omari also confirmed that the reports were all lies and a misrepresentation of a presser that he issued.
Omari further said that they have served some media houses including the Nation Media Group with letters of demand for writing false reports about his client.
Ngunjiri further expressed his anger over reports that insinuated he had joined Raila Odinga when he praised him in his speech. Ngunjiri argued that he was never interviewed saying that it was unclear where the fake information was gotten from.
On August 24, 2021, a blog post was shared on twitter claiming that Ngunjiri had dumped Ruto for Raila.
“Big blow to DP Ruto as Bahati MP Ngunjiri dumps him For Raila Odinga as he says this about BBI,” read part of the blog post written by Nairobi Today.
The following day, Ngunjiri uploaded photos sitting next to DP Ruto at function.
“Today I joined @DPWilliamRuto, clergy and national officials of African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA), Karen, Nairobi County,” his tweet read.
“The churches were urged to mobilize the believers to get vaccinated,” he added.
