Willy Paul released his first song of the year 2022 titled Atoti Jaber on January 2. He collaborated with Klons Melody and Musa Jakadala.
Speaking before the release of the new song, Willy Paul said that the song was meant to teach Kenyans a few things.
He however noted that Luo music can not be performed by just anyone and one has to be talented and classy to fit in.
“Any music lover will tell you that Luo music is the real deal in this country and only the BIG BOYZ blend well with it. It’s an addiction that no rehabilitation centre can heal ?.It cannot be performed by just anyone…. you must be classy and talented to fit in,” Willy Paul said.
The song has gotten Kenyans talking with some comparing it with Bahati and Prince Indah’s Adhiambo which was released 2 months ago. The song has garnered 7.5 million views on Bahati’s YouTube channel.
“I know you both Beef every time, but it’s evident you get your inspiration from @bahatikenya and @diana_marua, and somehow because of an ego Factor you wouldn’t admit it. There is a lot of similarity with your projects to Bahatis Projects. I wish that inspiration you’d use it to the advantage of both groups, or have a healthy competition rather than all this sideshows,” 7ven14een told Willy Paul.
Odina said, “Copy cat ,hii bado haifikii Adhiambo ya @bahatikenya . He sets the pace as you copy. Baha ni baba yao.”
“Lkn ile ya Adhiambo utafikia kweli???tuko 7 million,” Sam Mlay said.
“Msee si unacopy sana.. Hauna original ideas za kwako” Allerdyce Kitua posed.
“Mrudi jikoni walai hakuna kitu hapa,” a follower said.
Another section of social media users congratulated Willy Paul telling him that was the was to go while commending his vocals and lyrics.
“Willy paul is the most talented and diversified artist we have in Kenya now…..he never disappoints at all whenever he delivers and that is a blessing from God no matter how people are trying to bring him down they will never succeed because that is God’s favour….shine on kijana ya mathare2,” Kevin Ochieng’s comment on YouTube read.
“You back on track, these are the kind of songs we expect from you, more wins,” Bellah said.
