Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino sat down with his wife Fridah Ongili for an interview that generally touched on her life.
The law maker questioned Fridah about her upbringing as well as her educational background.
Just as it is with a normal interview, Frida first introduced herself to her husband. Babu then asked about how she performed in school which proved that she was quite a bright student.
“I got 443 out of 500 marks then I joined Loreto Limuru where I scored an A-minus in my KCSE. I later joined the University of Nairobi where I pursued a Bachelor of Economics alongside an accounting (CPA) and a business management course,” Frida said.
She later got employed at a local bank before embarking on entrepreneurship.
“I decided to pursue my passion which is fashion and that is how I started my fashion brand. I loved to draw and design even in high school but after joining employment I decided to revert to what I love,” she told Babu.
She admitted to encountering challenges in marriage but God has always stood by them.
“I look at you (Babu) and I see God. I look at our children and see God. I look at the blessings we have and I see Him. You are a walking miracle,” she said.
Babu Owino went on to ask Fridah Why she chose to marry him despite his shortcomings.
“You (Babu) are a good man…you have a heart of gold and I was able to see that. You used to tell me you are like a coconut…soft on the inside. I was understanding of your background and what people see out there is not a true reflection of who you are,” she answered him.
Fridah shared the interview video on her social media pages while thanking her husband for the support he has always shown her.
“I love you babe…deeply, endlessly and forever. Thank you for your love and support. You are an extraordinary husband and an incredible human being,” she said.

The two met at the University of Nairobi over 10 years ago and are parents of two girls.
Taking to Instagram, Babu said that he married a solution.
“Thank you, God I married a solution not a problem,” he said.
