Date:

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino jotted down 128-word tribute to DJ Evolve’s late mother Mary Hongo and it this didn’t go down well with so many people.

Mary Hongo died on Wednesday night at the age of 54, news about her demise was made public to Kenyans through media outlets on Thursday.

DJ Evolve, whose official name is Felix Orinda, made headlines some time back after he was shot by Babu Owino.

The Embakasi East MP took to social media to pay his tribute to DJ Evolve’s mother on learning about her death.

“RIP MAMA FELIX(DJ EVOLVE)
Mum you were a mother to me, and a friend. We were united through a difficult situation, we had grown so close but God has His own reasons why this had to happen. As a family we are deeply saddened by your loss. You are forever loved and treasured.
We shall continue holding together and ensure your legacy lives on forever.
To my friend Felix and your family I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. May God grant you peace, strength and comfort to go through this difficult moment in your lives.
Mum You always told us to be strong no matter how big the storm is and to always put God first.
Rest In Peace Mum till we meet again,” wrote Babu Owino.

Owino’s tribute rubbed many people the wrong way, many blamed him for the subjecting DJ Evolve’s mother to depression after he shot her son.

Below are some reactions to Babu Owino’s tribute to DJ Evolve’s mother :

254 updater: You brought depression to Evolve family.

Tom Japheth:  And you have the gats to post all this? Kama nani? Which family? Can a brother shoot his younger brother? No sir. You ain’t qualified even to own a fire arm without character & patience.
Too much pride in one man. It’s affecting families. Killing young dreams.
You already wrote your legacy. Till the day you will apologize both to people and to God the father of the poor and orphans, then you will find peace in this matter.
As for now, Chew your pride because if you just swallow it you might be choked. Swallow your pride, apologize both to the youths of this nation and to God. Then we will recognize you as our big brother and leader.

Kiriungi Njogu: The damage you did to this family Is not reversible. You made a grave mistake, one that has led a mother figure to an early grave. It has not been easy for that mama. Only God knows what she went through seeing her only futuristic son turned into a cabbage to be taken care of 100%. You made a mistake and I hope that one day, it dawns on you the extent of the damage you did. In the meantime, you can host the DJ and take care of him like his mother did. And while at it, you are not allowed to get tired but regret the actions of your carelessness. Mungu Mbele.

King Ifrica: May she rest in peace, but Babu take Evolve to your home and take care of him as the mother did

James Rozay Muli: Don’t you think of the stress and trauma you have caused to that family after shooting that DJ? One day you will reap what you sow. May that mama find peace where she is coz it was denied here on earth.

Obura Junior: Nkt……but when you wanted to kill her son you didn’t know she’s a mother to you and also a friend?? Because you are the handshake and that’s why no action can be taken against you. God the gonna punish you one day.
Lit ndiii……. Awuoro Kenya. Anyway my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the bereaved.

Edu Rotich: U subject that family to depression by paralyzing their breadwinner,n way RiP mum
