COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli and KANU party leader Gideon Moi on Sunday finally showed up in public looking not only discouraged but also tired.
The two leaders accompanied the Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga to the St. Francis Karen Anglican church of Kenya.
Gideon Moi lost the Baringo senatorial seat to the United Democratic Alliance candidate William Cheptumo in a hotly contested race.
Cheptumo who has been serving as Baringo North MP for 15 years trounced Gideon Moi after garnering 141,777 votes, while the Senator came second with 71,408 votes.
From the facial expression, it was clear that all was not well for the Azimio supporters because the leaders were not inspiring any confidence. This is what Kenyans said regarding the facial expressions for the two leaders:Â
“Waah look at the facial expression of Man gidi and man Atwoli aki i am an Aziio supporter but i don’t see any hope. At Least they should fake even a smile yawa.”
“These men are strong; they have shown up in public despite losing. I could not have shown up. Lakini from the faces sioni hopes Azimio prepare for bado news.”
“Election is over and it’s amazing to see our leaders meet in public once again regardless of the outcome. Lets hope chebukati will give Kenyans a free and fair election.”
“Alaaa alaaa where will my man Atwoli go after Ruto is declared the winner navile he was always like Ruto will never be the president hehe.”
“Francis Atwoli and Gideon Moi poleni sana dont worry there is 2027. Uzuri you guys are rich so you wont starve even if your candidate win. Just swallow your pride and congratulate whoever win ata kama ni Ruto so that we move as a nation.”
