Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has come out to set the record straight about a complaint letter that has caused jitters.
For weeks there have been speculations about Murkomen’s political future in William Ruto’s camp following a series of events.
Murkomen in recent days has not been seen in Ruto’s rallies or his Karen residence sparking speculations about his political future.
Speculations that Murkomen was on his way out of Ruto’s camp further escalated when the DP’s staunch supporter Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi fired at him.
The Kapseret MP accuses the Elgeyo-Marakwet senator of bad-mouthing him and other politicians to the deputy president.
In a video trending on social media, Sudi is seen angrily slamming Murkomen for taking gossips to Ruto.
The Kapseret MP further hinted that the Elgeyo-Marakwet senator might be on his way out of Ruto’s camp, saying he is joining Kanu.

Blogger leaked a letter which was allegedly written by Murkomen in which the Elgeyo Marakwet was expressing his displeasure with what was happening in Ruto’s camp.
“MURKOMEN SPEAKS.
Ruto should retreat and strategise. The team sorrounding Ruto now will abandon him for Raila soon. BBI was a trap.Raila laid a trap for us to oppose it.We succeeded by opposing BBI but now it’s eating us verily.
“Mt.Kenya was to benefit alot with BBI.The leaders from the region have ganged up to show how Ruto denied them money and is celebrating what we have lost as a community.
Today,Nyoro,Gachagua or Wahome cannot hold a rally and campaign for Ruto without promising handouts.Kikuyus will not come for that rally.
“Over the weekend,you saw the DP in kenol.People refused to listen to him because they’re after Ruto’s money not Ruto himself. The ground has shifted. Ruto is being stoned in Bungoma, Nanyuki,kisii but Raila is being welcomed with Dances,Ullulations.
“As a Kalenjin community, We must tell our son the truth.Lets retreat back and support Raila and ask him for favour in 2027.We’re going to the opposition and we will pay it dearly more than the Luos in the last 10years.
“Sincerely speaking,we have done zero development for our people.How do you ask them for the vote yet farmers in Uasin Gishu and Nandi are struggling to sell maize? Tea farmers in Kericho and Bomet too are aprooting the crop!?
“The Kihikas,Ndindis and Wahomes of Ruto today have started to pack. The world they come from has shifted their allengance to Raila. Raila will win with a landslide victory sending us(Kalenjins) to the opposition. We need to meet Raila and beg for forgiveness,” the letter read.
In quick rejoinder, Murkomen dismissed the letter and all speculations regarding his political future in Ruto’s camp. He asked his supporters to ignore ‘propagandists’.
“Just returned from the US Capitol where we held meetings with Congressmen on matters of mutual interest to our two countries. In my absence propagandists,bloggers,busy bodies and all manner of nose parkers have been peddling rumors and writing silly notes in my name.Desperados.Ignore them,” wrote Murkomen.
