Kenyans on social media feel that Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru should be worried about her competitor Purity Wangui Ngirici.
The two women, for a long time, have not been in good terms and are both eyeing the county’s gubernatorial seat.
While Waiguru will be seeking a re-election through United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, Ngirici has decided to go for the seat single handedly judging from her recent moves..
Her tireless efforts are actually bearing fruits because she is managing to pull crowds that, according to Xixi, are similar to those of DP William Ruto.
“Yaani @WanguiNgirici is pulling crowds alone without help and the shit is similar to Ruto’s masses.@AnneWaiguru should be a worried granny. Dear Ngirici, all the way, ile ya juu ni ya baba sio?” Xixi said on Twitter.
On Monday, Ngirici was on a meet the people tour in Kirinyaga Central and she was not disappointed even a little bit. From the warm welcome she received, one could actually believe that she already won the locals’Â hearts.

Several Kenyans have urged her to keep up the spirit so that she emerges victorious in the stiff contest.
“Penye nia kuna njia,, keep up the spirit iron lady, am in love with you” Weldon Olymbyan said.
“Penda wewe, fighter just like ruto,raila and not like waiguru who want to short-change other people once they realize a particular party is strong in a particular area so she wants to easily sail in it not considering that someone sacrificed popularizing the party,” Lucas Ralik stated.
Ruth Mugo wrote, “All the best mama you are doing great walking around hunting for votes wengine wanangoja uliam awatafutie.” While Hon Sylvester said, “You know strength of any person when they choose to walk alone when no one is ready to walk with him/her…. Kenyans are wise in this era. Keep it lit and you get it.”
Her haters however said she was bound to fail terribly and that the governor’s seat would never be given to an independent candidate
“You are too emotional you could not tololate waiguru I was your fun waited you in nomination to support you but juu umeenda kivyako with my one vote nitapea waiguru,” Bee Njuki said.
