William Ruto campaigned in Kitui county on Friday November 12th, and as usual he gave handouts to residents which was stolen by his handlers prompting protests.
Section of youth in Mwingi town, Kitui county dismissed Ruto’s empowering program and bottom-up economic model after handout given to them disappeared.
The youth who addressed the press claimed that hustler nation is full of cons and brokers who after being given money pocket it leaving residents desperate.
The youths also trashed DP Ruto’s bottom-up economic model saying that it is fake because he went to Mwingi and gave other people money who are not even known to residents there.
Mwingi youth said that imposters who posed as Sacco chairpersons got money and kept to themselves instead of distributing the money.
The angry youths vowed not to vote for Ruto come 2022, they pledged to support Ukambani kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka and Wiper party.
Ruto’s handouts has caused havoc wherever he goes as people fight for money he dishes out. Last week drama ensued in Mwingi, Kitui county after irate residents confronted Mwingi central MCA Mary Kanini demanding a share of money left behind by the DP during his visit on Saturday November 6th.
Ruto was stoned in Kondele, Kisumu county on Wednesday November 10th after rival groups fought over money given to them to attend the DP’s rallies.
And on Thursday November 9th, Ruto’s Private Assistant (PA) Farouk Kibet nearly lost his life after irate residents in Migori chased after him after he disappeared with money that was to be dished out to residents.
Farouk was escaping from the rowdy youth believed to be the supporters of Migori Governor Okoth Obado who had an ill will.
The youths decided to chase away Farouk Kibet as a way to send a warning to Ruto after he allegedly failed to send money to Governor Obado. The money is believed to be a fee to compensate Obado for accompanying Ruto in his presidential campaigns in Migori County.
DP Ruto had agreed to send the money after a successful campaign in the region but he did not fulfill the promise
