There was drama in Kaloleni, Kilifi County after William Ruto left as residents staged protest demanding to be paid handouts promised to them for attending the DP rally.
Ruto has been crisscrossing the Coast region since last week in a bid to persuade resident to back his 2022 presidential bid.
The deputy president traversed coastal counties holding rallies that attracted huge crowds at different stopovers during his week-long tour.
On Monday October 18th, Ruto was in Kilifi county where he visited several towns and centers within during his campaign trail.
The deputy president promised to empower small, micro and medium-sized enterprises while campaigning in Kaloleni.

However, drama ensued immediately Ruto left Kaloleni as residents staged protest to demand handouts promised to them.
Apparently Ruto’s handlers in the region were given money by the DP to share with the people but they became greedy and kept it to themselves.
Residents were left in shock after the DP handlers disappeared immediately after the rally without paying them the promised handouts.
Irate residents to gathered outside Kaloleni constituency CDF office and vowed not to leave until they are paid the handouts promised to them.
