Mike Sonko has released an undated video of an unidentified man who was filmed punishing his son without any mercy.
Sonko called for the individual to be punished by the law by subjecting the minor to such kind of mistreatment.
In the video, the man whipped the minor and went ahead to undress him so that he could deeply feel the caning.
He manhandled him as he lashed him. His cries for mercy and pardon didn’t deter the father from instilling the crude discipline.
The one filming the video, seemingly the boy’s mother or sibling, intervened saying that it was enough and that he would hurt the boy.
“Baba ujue utamuumiza ushamchapa ya kutosha. Unamuumiza. Mtoto hapumui si umwache ushamchapa ameskia. Unamuumiza lungs,” she said.
The man however dismissed her saying, ” Unamtetea?” As he proceeded with the punishment .
He eventually stopped demanding the minor to go and sleep.
The video has caused mixed reactions among Kenyans, some demanding that the man is taken to custody as soon as possible, as others shared their own experiences with such kind of punishments, saying they received worse but are grateful that it made them better persons.

Cheruiyot Arap Koech: Discipline is good, but this appears to be beyond the limit. This guy is bringing up a traumatized boy in the name of being a tough father.
