Musician Gilad Millo has finally been registered as a Kenyan citizen 21 years after coming to the country.
Gilad shared the good news with Kenyans through his social media pages whereby he revealed that he applied for citizenship six years ago.
“It has been 21 years since I first came to Kenya ❤ and 6 years since I applied for my Kenyan Citizenship ?? Now it is finally official ?? NAJIVUNIA KUWA MKENYA,” the Unajua hitmaker said as he shared a photo of his registration certificate.
According to the document he shared, Gilad attained his citizenship at a cost of Kshs200, 000.
The musician came to Kenya for the first time in 1996 from his Israel motherland. He worked as a journalist before becoming a diplomat in 2003 and eventually ended up being a popstar.
Aside from singing, he also engages in garlic farming at his home in Isinya, Kajiado County.
He permanently settled in the country and specifically Nairobi in 2008 after leaving Israel’s foreign affairs ministry.
Fans warmly received Gilad as the newest citizen of Kenya.

“Where did you come from?!If we can exchange,” Esther Kerubo’s comment read.
While Dorcas Njuguna said,” I didn’t know one can celebrate to be a Kenyan citizen…congratulations fellow Kenyan.”
