Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege failed to show up at the IEBC for the hearing of the case on her election rigging remarks.
IEBC was forcedĀ to postpone the hearing of her case to March 8, after her legal representatives said that she was sick and admitted at Nairobi Hospital.
According to her lawyers, led by Otiende Amollo, Chege has been admitted at Nairobi Hospital since February 16 but whatever is ailing her remains unknown.
The team further said that it was not clear when Chege will be discharged from hospital with regards to the letter from her doctor dated February 21, 2022.
Kenyans have however felt that Chege just came up with an excuse to evade questioning and that they won’t be surprised that she would show up for the Sagana 3 meeting, that has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 23 whereby President Uhuru Kenyatta will be meeting his confidants from Central region.
“What could have been what if it is a normal citizen who had not attended the hearing. Money talks. How many prisoner are in jail and they are sick.Ā I think these thing of bailing out should be eliminated,” Macharia Charles stated.
“Sabina can’t skip the Sagana 111 event tomorrow!. She’ll be discharged by the close of business today,” Kariega Minjire said.

Speaking to the locals, the lawmaker confirmed that Jubilee had participated in election malpractice in previous elections.
