One of the three men who escaped from the Kamiti Maximum Prison has vowed to escape once more if a chance presents itself.
While speaking to citizens at the Anti-Terror Police Unit headquarters at Kahawa Law Courts on Monday, Musharafa Abdalla aka Alex Shikanda made these shocking remarks.
According to the Kamiti prison jailbreaker, he could not imagine life inside the Kamiti Maximum Prison, insisting that he would vanish immediately if given a choice.
“I wanted a shot at freedom in my first attempt because I have already served ten years in jail,” he said.
Further, the man justified his decision to escape since he would start serving afresh by virtue of being charged afresh for escaping Kamiti prison.
“I have to escape because I know I am going back to serve additional time to what I am already in jail for,” he lamented.
In the meantime, Kenyans on social media recently expressed their anger after the Kamiti three were received like VIPs (very important people) in a government chopper.
These Kenyans wondered why terrorist suspects were being treated like dignitaries to the extent of being flown To Kamiti as opposed to being made to walk all the way from Kitui county to Nairobi.
“Convicts, Terrorists are now received like dignitaries??? Enhee alafu after escaping wakafuatana kama kondoo….. But next time when you stage manage things at least make it look real. We all know this was a plot to remove Ogalo… There is nothing like a prison break here… Wajinga waliisha Kenya!”
At the same time, Kenyans demanded that the fired Wycliffe Ogallo be given back his job with immediate effect following the arrest of the Kamiti Three Who escaped from jail.
The outgoing Kenya Prisons Service Commissioner General Mr. Wycliffe Ogallo was allegedly arrested after being fired by president Uhuru Kenyatta a few weeks ago.
However, The National Police Service came out to clarify the viral rumors that he was arrested while insisting that the police took him to only facilitate smooth handover of power.
