It is just a matter of weeks before artists Arrow Bwoy and Nadia Mukami become parents to a bouncing baby boy.
Nadia is currently 34 weeks pregnant and she managed to keep it under wraps even though Kenyans were convinced that she was expectant after seeing her bulging belly during her live performances in December last year.
Nadia however says that the journey has not been easy at all and that is why she did not want to share the information until she was ready and okay.
“It is not easy. Mothers don’t tell the truth. They only say 50% so morning sickness can be throughout the pregnancy, you are just sick. For me I had anemia. That was the major thing. I could not eat completely because of vomiting excessively. I have been hospitalized a number of times.
“For me the reason why I did not want to say it, I wanted to be okay for me to be able to tell people or the world that I am expecting my bundle of joy. There is nothing like hiding pregnancy, it is just that it is very personal, you just have to wait till you are ready to talk about it,” Nadia explained in an interview with Eve Mungai.
The pregnancy however came about at a time Nadia was longing to have a child and it looks like it was not an unplanned one.
“I was at a point in my life whereby I used to tell him I love children even people around me they used to tell me that am going to get pregnant and then I just got pregnant,” the soon to be mother said.
On the other hand, Arrow Bwoy admitted that Nadia had nagged him a lot about the issue and that is why he ‘behaved like a man’.
“Alikuwa ananisumbua sana. Nakumbuka akalia sana nikasema wacha nimpeleke Zanzibar the rest is history.(She nagged me a lot. I remember she cried a lot and I decided to take her to Zanzibar),” Arrow Bwoy revealed.
At some point, Nadia suggested that they should call their baby Zanzibar since he was made in the Island.
