After The JKIA Saga, Fresh Details Leak Why Mudavadi And Wetangula Agreed To Support Ruto

Date:

Details have emerged as to why the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and the Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula agreed to support deputy president William Samoei Ruto.

According to reliable sources, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were not given any money by the deputy president as was being alleged by majority of netizens when they shifted their loyalty from Mr. Odinga to Mr. Ruto.

In a well crafted plan, the two leaders from the Mulembe Nation went blindly to Ruto’s side following an assurance that the deputy president would win the upcoming general election.

In fact, Sonko News has learnt that there was a direct link between Ruto’s promise of a must win to the two and the recent scandal at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Having been assured of winning, the two leaders quickly crossed to the Hustler’s side, leaving Kalonzo Musyoka alone in One Kenya Alliance (OKA) Coalition.

After the three Venezeluans were caught possessing sensitive election materials illegally, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chair told the public that the commission was expecting those individuals whom he described as important IEBC employees that were key in delivering the 9th August general election.

However, an investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation revealed that the three Venezuelans were in the country illegally and that they had no documented contract to prove their so-called contract with IEBC as earlier claimed by Chebukati.

That the IEBC chairman vehemently defended foreigners walking around with sensitive election materials belonging to eleven counties is a matter which left Kenyans questioning his credibility.

Surprisingly, William Ruto’s side also joined Chebukati in defending the foreigners as he told off the investigative body to stop “interfering” with the running of the commission. The sentiments by the Kenya Kwanza flagbearer even left Kenyans wondering why he was the only presidential candidate out of the four that was defending the electoral commission after foreigners were busted with key election materials.

In line with the above, the source added that there were some monkey games within the commission linked to that JKIA saga, something which made Ruto be very confident of winning. With the same confidence,  Wetangula and Mudavadi were also promised key positions in the government and they were convinced beyond reasonable doubts that the UDA party leader would defeat Mr. Odinga hands down.

However, Sonko News has learnt that the move by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation has left Mudavadi and Wetangula more scared because Ruto’s earlier promise of “a must win” now seems to be dwindling after the Kinoti led DCI thwarted any rigging attempts by the electoral body. On his side, the IEBC chairman is fighting tooth and nail to cover up and sweep under the carpet the JKIA saga so that he gains back the elusive trust less than two weeks to the general election.
